Last free day container pickup
Emergency pulls before demurrage starts.
Demurrage is what the terminal and steamship line charge you when your container sits at the port past its last free day. Per diem is what the container line charges you when you hold their equipment past the allowed days after pickup. Two different charges, two different parties, both accruing daily. We keep capacity in reserve for LFD pulls out of Los Angeles and Long Beach — send us the container number and the terminal, and dispatch will come back with a straight answer on whether we can make the gate in time.
